Old Tennessee Trail

It was a glorious Sunday here in Nashville! Sun shining, birds chirping, breeze flowing kind of day.

While we have a million things to do, we put away our lists and adventured outside! Right after Grant and I started dating we went on a driving tour of Nashville and visited all of the historic landmarks in the area. We couldn’t find the exact route but really enjoyed following the Old Tennessee Trail!

The best part? Stumbling across the Amber Hills Winery – we arrived right at 12:30 when the doors opened! Wine before lunch? Sign me up 🙂

We left the city and started the tour portion of the drive in Franklin. I printed the map and booklet before we left so it was fun to navigate using an actual paper (!!) map. I read the little blurbs about what we were seeing while Grant drove. We visited Franklin, Leiper’s Fork, Mount Pleasant, Columbia, Thompson’s Station, and Spring Hill.

It’s amazing how much slower life in the country is… we came back relaxed and rejuvenated for a crazy week ahead! PS: I even found these awesome words of wisdom in a little shop’s window 🙂 Inspiration really is all around!
