Valentine’s Day Weekend in Phoenix

It’s been a crazy few weeks but I wanted to finally share details of our amazing whirlwind trip visiting my parents in Phoenix a few weeks ago.

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect – we ALL have been swamped and it was nice to kick back, relax, and enjoy time together. I love that our visit fell over Valentine’s Day – that meant a love-filled Sunday Night Dinner just like the old days!

A few highlights:

  • Lunch at Flower Child
  • Tom’s Thumb hike (I’m still sore)
  • Pedicures at the spa
  • Drinks at the Sanctuary
  • Pretty tables
  • Shopping with mom
  • Trying out the health club
  • Gluten free, vegan pizza from LGO (y’all, this place is my favorite!)
  • Valentine’s Day festivities
  • And lots of other special details thanks to mama Schae that made the weekend so fun!

My parents are the most hospitable hosts and had every detail covered! Already wanting to go back for another long weekend 🙂

Love time with my amazing mom! She really is the best and I’ll be lucky if I’m half the mom she is someday 🙂

The Arizona landscape is just breathtaking. I’m amazed every time I just look into the distance and see such simple beauty.

I love a well-set table. I thought this was so sweet for Valentine’s Day!

I’ve been following a low-FODMAP eating plan to get to the bottom of some tummy trouble. We put together the most delicious appetizer sampling with 100% compliant foods, including an almond milk-based cream cheese. Tasted JUST like the real deal! Of course, we were outside and paired this all with refreshing cocktails.

Special shoutout to G on our first married Valentine’s Day! It was so fun to spend our day hiking, at the pool, and enjoying family time. I couldn’t imagine my life any other way!

Leaving never gets easier – I always leave tearful with a full heart of happy memories. Grateful for my amazing, supportive, and loving family!

How are you spending the last February weekend?!
