Well, we survived our first FULL month in MN! Thankfully, the weather has been nothing but wonderful and we’ve started to find a routine that works. Because Grant travels Monday through Friday most weeks, I have weeknights to myself – often spent working, but sometimes spent exploring. The highlight of this month was meeting some really nice friends – helping to make our new city feel like home. We have spent tons of time outside, on the water, and adventuring. I’ve tried to keep it all together and be strong for both of us, finding some semblance of normalcy in everyday chaos. BUT I will say, it hasn’t been easy – one morning I completely lost it and cried for about 30 minutes in downtown Minneapolis because I couldn’t find a place to park. Most days I have no idea where I’m going and wish this city was laid out like NYC. Well really, can’t we just move there instead? The little things, right?!
Here’s a photo recap of our month…
Our sweet new friends had us over for a backyard BBQ and homemade berry cobbler. It’s almost like we’re back in the south!
Our kitchen barstools finally arrived – our home is now complete!
Our new friends and neighbors invited us to this amazing alley/block party. There were food trucks, live music, lots of refreshing beverages, a sailboat bar, string lights, and great conversation. The perfect way to kick off a weekend in the cities!
This is quickly becoming our new favorite thing – Oreos + PB + music after a late night out!
I spent a week in California for work – I loved my time exploring the coast!
I’m ready for you, July! Bring on the fun and summer sunshine!
