July 2016 in Review

I know it’s crazy and I say this every month… but WHERE did July go?! Between visitors (please come visit us) to quick trips and all sorts of adventuring, time flew by! Get ready for photo overload 🙂

A few random thoughts about the month:

  • We are LOVING this 5-ingredient banana ice cream – it’s putting my food processor to the test!
  • Is it football season yet? I made this vegan/GF chili recipe twice in anticipation of fall
  • I’m back to running! FINALLY getting my groove back. PR-ed my 5k time – 26:34!
  • I joined a bootcamp class at Crossfit St. Paul
  • We are feeling the weight of this move – it’s sinking in that Nashville isn’t home anymore
  • Grant held a BABY! Like… a less than 2 week old little peanut!
  • My parents continue to amaze me at how wonderful they are
  • Sprinkles = happiness. ALWAYS!

We kicked off the month with a 5-day weekend! It was full of red, white, and blue and lots of rosé.

After a quick 2-day work week, my wonderful parents came to visit! Read more about their trip here. They are just the best and I love every minute of our time together.

On Monday, July 11, G flew to ND, mom and dad flew to AZ, and I flew to TN! It was a busy day in the skies for our family. WHY was I going to TN you ask? To celebrate my favorite 4-year old and her BIRTHDAY! Because every birthday is a reason to celebrate 🙂 My trip was extended due to a cancelled flight. I didn’t mind at all!

Then, Liana and Emma came for a quick visit – lots of exploring and sprinkles!

The last 2 weekends were a little bit quieter – we visited our sweet friends’ new baby and went to WI to tour the Leinenkugel Brewery! There will be other life updates to share soon – and no, this does NOT mean babies!!
