Hello, Fall

As summer draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the past season – the hardest season of life I/we have gone through and I’m sure it won’t be the last. A season that was full of change, challenge, stress, sadness, and longing for routine, normalcy, and familiarity. Happy happy birthday to my amazing mama! Mom – I wish it was your birthday every day so we could celebrate how awesome you are year-round. You are simply wonderful. Labor Day Weekend in Arizona

Warning. Food photos galore! Last Friday, Grant and I flew to Phoenix to spend the long holiday weekend with my parents. Before we left, I mentioned to Grant that it had been far too long since an airplane adventure – all of our previous summer travel has been local in the Midwest (except a last minute Nashville trip) so it was about time to escape!  We were both really looking forward to a weekend full of relaxation, family time, good eats, and new adventures.
