September 2016 in Review

Well, another month has passed! As always, it was jam packed with lots of our favorite things!! We are definitely adjusting to life in Minnesota and I’m loving all of the fun fall has to offer AND the fabulous weather! I’m already wearing boots and sweaters. It’s basically heaven.

We kicked off September with a trip to see my parents in Phoenix. They bought a beautiful home! We spent much of our holiday weekend planning their new digs, eating, drinking, and laughing. A perfect weekend in my book! And actually, we’ll be there next weekend installing closets and helping organize. All of my favorite things!

The rest of September was filled with work, work, and more work. The good news? I LOVE my job and the incredible people I have the opportunity to work with every day. They make me a better person and I love knowing that my work enriches the lives of children on a daily basis! And Grant loves his job so it’s a win-win all around.

Our weekends were spent apple picking, running (well until I fractured my foot), cooking, baking, football, drinking wine, and gearing up for a C-R-A-Z-Y few months ahead! I will be gone NINE of the next 14 weekends (through the end of the year!!) so it’s operation organize and plan ahead over here. Honestly, fracturing my foot was probably a blessing in disguise – it’s a sign to slow down and enjoy all that this wonderful season has to offer! More details to come after I see my doctor next week.

All in all, it was a FABULOUS month! Can’t wait to see what October has in store for us!

My husband and I love your blog! Especially your recipes! I can’t tell you how many times we have baked your Monsters and the banana PB chocolate one. Delish! I remember reading about your love for NYC – I am planning a girls trip this December to NYC – do you have any suggestions for hotels? I don’t know where to begin.

Annie! You are so sweet 🙂 It’s comforting to know someone else reads this other than my parents! I would love to give you some NYC recommendations – email me and I’d be happy to suggest some things! hilari.s.williams@gmail.com Happy Monday!
